The tour over the 2 passes is a classic, especially for road bikers. But also for mountain bikers there are possibilities to master the passes off the busy roads.

From Gstaad, the first section leads along the Saane to Saanen and further to Unterbort in the direction of Grischbachtal. But instead of going further into the valley, turn left and ride over the bridge "Pont de la Scie" to Rougemont. In Rougemont the valley side is changed and it goes over side roads and single trails to Les Moulins. There the first ascent begins. You have to climb about 700 meters until you reach "Les Mossettes". This is followed by a descent over the Col de Sonlomont down to the shore of Lac de l'Hongrin. From there it is only a few kilometers to the Col des Mosses. On the pass turn left and it continues to climb via Les Crosérins and Darbéla to the point Oudiou. Here follows a descent before the last ascent begins to below the mountain station of the former Isenau railroad. From there, the descent begins and shortly afterwards you reach Retaudsee. An ideal place for a well-deserved breather before tackling the last, mostly descending and flat section via Col du Pillon, Gsteig and Grund back to Gstaad.
