Two alpine passes, white mountain peaks, a lesser known climb to Les Voëttes and a rapid descent to Château-d'Oex - the Tour de Gstaad classique has all the ingredients that belong to a true classic.

The tour starts in Gstaad. You follow the paved bike path until shortly before Feutersoey - the perfect section to warm up and admire the impressive main ridge of the Alps. Then you continue on the main road up to the Col du Pillon. The road leads along the high peaks to the top of the pass at 1,546 meters above sea level.

The descent to Les Diablerets is rapid. Caution is advised on the steep descent. Now the steep side road uphill to Les Voëttes follows in Vers-l'Église. The final descent to Chateau-d'Oex promises real fun. Mostly good surface and wide curves mean that the two flat sections are often ridden with a lot of pressure on the pedals.

On the main road it goes via Rougemont and Saanen back to the starting point in Gstaad.
