With the Tour du Wildhorn, a wonderful long-distance hike over four stages opens up to mountain hikers.

East of the Gelten Hut, the mountain trail leads to Alp Usseri Gelten and along the steep flank of the Vollhoren to Alp Chüetungel (wire ropes and a ladder to secure the trail). Unique view from Geltentrittli to Geltenschuss and over the Lauenental valley. From Alp Chüetungel to the Tierentungel, past the marshes with gorsser ecological significance, to the Tungelpass. After the steep ascent over the Hengstensprung, the almost horizontal path leads past the northern flank of the Niesenhorn to the Wildhornhütte. A beautiful spot to eat, drink and rest. The subsequent descent over the alluvial plain of Sandboden, past the magnificent Iffigensee, over old moraines to Alp Groppi to Iffigenalp.
