Trail Running Wasserngrat
Alp Turnels
Bergstation Wasserngrat
Very worthwhile, but very challenging trail with scenic beauty and botanical variety.
Start your trail run at the Gstaad promenade. First, follow the signs for Bissen / Wasserngrat valley station. From the Wasserngrat valley station the Trail Run no. 25 is signposted. The next three kilometres take you steeply uphill. You have the option of stopping off at the Wasserngrat mountain restaurant to enjoy the amazing view of the mountains. After this it is time to cross what is the centrepiece of this trail, a rather narrow and exposed ridge that runs from north to south. Although the exposed areas are secured with ropes, this tour is only suitable for sure-footed runners with a good head for heights. In wet weather, fog or snow this route should be avoided. At Turnelssattel turn left and proceed down towards Alp Turnels, the Wasserngrat valley station and Gstaad.
Tips: The trail can be shortened, so do note the operating times for the Wasserngrat chair lift.You can also extend this route: e.g. Alp Turnels-Giferspitz-Turbach-Gstaad or Turnelssattel-Türli-Lauenen or Turbach-Gstaad.

The Destination Gstaad is located in the south-west of Switzerland right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country.
