Easy terrain, far-reaching views onto the Saanenland, Pays-d’Enhaut and Simmental – the enjoyable ski tour from Schönried to the Rellerli is impressive in many ways.

The ski tour up to the Rellerli is uncomplicated. This already begins with the arrival: those travelling with public transport will get off the train in Schönried, off the bus at the Schönried stop or off the PostAuto at the Schulhaus stop. Those travelling by car can leave their car at the large parking lot of the former Rellerli valley station.

Mount the skins and off you go! The route first passes by typical wooden chalets and farms through inhabited areas towards Bergmatte. Here the forest begins. With the homely scent of pine needles in your nose, you continue on toward Grossen Vorschess. If you want to take a break here, you can sit in one of the over-sized fondue caquelons with a wonderful view.

After a few hairpin turns, a long left turn leads towards the former Hugeli lift. And now it’s not far – a short steep climb and then you are at the former Rellerli mountain station. It’s worth the effort because once on top you are rewarded with a unique 360-degree view onto the surrounding area and high alpine peaks.

There are plenty of options to ski down: experienced skiers who like a somewhat steeper terrain will ski down directly in front over the former black run down to the old valley station. Those who like to take it somewhat more leisurely are recommended to ski down the trail they came up on via Grossi Vorschess. Those with little experience in deep powder skiing should follow the touring route signs and ski back down to the valley using the groomed slope.
